Progress of 2015/2016 Puerto Rico Drought – Selected Soil and Water Parameters (continued through 2017) CLICK HERE
> Use of satellite remote sensing for estimating the water and energy budgets for Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Haiti.
> Evaluation of factors related to drought tolerance in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
> Development of a real-time flash flood model for western Puerto Rico.
> Crop coefficients for two common beans genotypes (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) under water-limited and no-limited
> Validation of the Hydro-Estimator algorithm in Puerto Rico
> Assessment of Coastal Water Resources and Watershed Conditions in and adjacent to Selected National Parks
> Development of an integrated hydrologic model for the Mayagüez Bay drainage basin.
2. Regional Water Quality Coordination—Region 2
The objective of this project, funded by USDA, is to improve coordination in Water Quality issues between the Universities that make up Region 2 of the EPA: Cornell, Rutgers, University of Virgin Islands and the UPR. 3. Estudio Sobre el Uso Agua Agricolo en Puerto Rico
Este proyecto tiene como objetivo generar parte de la informacion necesaria para la actualizacion del Plan Integral de Conservacion, Desarrollo y Uso de los Recursos de Agua en Puerto Rico. Se trabaja directamente con el componente agricola de este Plan. El trabajo se realiza con el Instituto de Investigaciones sobre Recursos de Agua y el Ambiente de Puerto Rico.
